Soaks Up The Rough

Front and rear suspension let the X2 take trails, curbs and broken pavement in stride — a big comfort jump over hardtail commuters.

Two Frames

The X2 runs a 6061 aluminium-alloy frame; the X2 Pro steps up to high-strength carbon steel and a 330 lb rider limit.

Fat Grippy Rubber

20 × 4.0" tires on the X2, or 20 × 4.5" front / 5.0" rear on the Pro for maximum traction.

Strongest Standard Hub

A 750W hub peaking at 1000W with 65Nm is the punchiest motor in the standard Macfox range — real grunt for climbs and loose ground.

Up To 80 Miles

A 48V 20Ah (960Wh) pack does 40 miles; add a second battery for up to 80 miles of trail range.

Passenger-Ready

An extended padded seat and higher payload make two-up trail cruising realistic, especially on the Pro.

The Bike Cave Verdict

Ben's Take

I haven't thrown a leg over the X2 on camera yet, but it's the most capable standard bike Macfox makes. Full front-and-rear suspension, a 750W hub that peaks at 1000W with 65Nm, and up to 80 miles from dual batteries make it a genuine fat-tire trail-and-street crossover — and the X2 Pro's carbon-steel frame, 5-inch rear tire and 330 lb payload push that further for heavier or harder-riding owners. From $2,199 it undercuts a lot of full-suspension e-bikes. It's still a single-speed Class-2 bike, so manage your expectations on steep pedaling climbs, but for comfort and grip it looks like the standout Macfox. Full review to come.
