What to check on a used Horizon
- The battery692Wh at 54.6V, removable. The pack is the part that ages, so ask how old it is, make sure the charger (4A) is included, and check that it seats and locks in the bike properly.
- The rear endHorst-link full suspension plus a hydraulic fork. Press down on the saddle and look for play at the pivots, oil on the shock, and a fork that rebounds smoothly.
- The fold79.4 lb, folding to 49.2 x 23.6 x 31.5 in. Fold and unfold it twice at the seller's. The latch should clamp firmly with no wobble in the stem, and at this weight you will be lifting it.
- Brakes and tiresHydraulic disc brakes and 24 x 4.0 in puncture-resistant tires. Check pad and rotor wear, a firm lever, and tread and sidewall condition.
- Motor and controls1400W peak geared hub with pedal assist and a throttle. Try every assist level and the throttle, listen for grinding, and make sure the LCD powers up and reads speed.
- PaperworkAsk for the original receipt and the serial number, and ask Heybike support whether the warranty carries over to a second owner.

The Bike Cave Verdict
Ben's Take
The Horizon is the comfort-first folder: 24-inch fat tyres and a low-step frame drop the stance so anyone can step aboard, then a Horst-link rear end and hydraulic fork give it a genuinely plush ride for a small-wheel bike. Four colours, including some lovely gradients, make it easy to like. It's a heavy fold at 79.4 lb, and range is a modest 55 miles, but as an approachable, comfortable around-town bike it looks strong. There is no camera review of this one.
