How fast is the Wired Freedom?
Ben measured 32 mph on GPS, not on the bike's own display. The display is fully programmable, so you can set the Freedom to Class 1, Class 2 or Class 3 limits and cap it at 20 or 28 mph whenever you need to — the speed is there when you want it and out of the way when you don't.
Is the Wired Freedom street legal?
It can be, and that's the point of the programmable display. Set to a class limit it behaves like a legal Class 1, 2 or 3 e-bike in most US states. Left unrestricted it goes faster than the class system allows, which is a decision you're making rather than one the bike makes for you. Check your state and city rules before you ride it on the road.
What's the real-world range?
Wired claims up to 90 miles, and that figure comes from the lowest assist level — treat it as the ceiling, not the plan. What's genuinely useful here is the pack: two 60V batteries totalling 2,100Wh, roughly triple what a normal commuter carries. Ride it hard on the throttle at 30 mph and expect a fraction of 90; ride it at moderate assist and it goes a long way.
Is the Wired Freedom UL certified?
Yes, on both counts that matter. The batteries are UL 2271 certified and the complete bike is UL 2849 certified, meaning the cells, the BMS, the charger and the wiring were tested together as a system rather than the pack being certified on its own. On a 2,100Wh dual-battery bike, that's not a nice-to-have.
Who is the Wired Freedom for?

The reason is fit — the seat, the bars and the air spring in the rear shock all adjust, so you can set the suspension to your body weight and get a genuinely comfortable ride instead of the one-size-fits-nobody setup most fast bikes ship with.
Who should skip it?
Anyone who needs to lift the bike. This is a heavy dual-battery build, so a flimsy trunk rack is not going to work — plan for a stout hitch rack or don't plan on transporting it. If your riding is entirely on shared paths where 20 mph is the ceiling, you're also paying for performance you'll never legally use.
