The Cockpit
App-First, Clutter-Free
App Control + Dual Sensors + Turn Signals
The Venus keeps the bars clean and moves the smarts into the Heybike app — customise PAS levels, switch class modes and check ride data from your phone.
Dual torque-and-cadence sensors mean the assist reacts in about 0.3 seconds, so it feels like a natural extension of your pedalling rather than an on/off switch.

The Bike Cave Verdict
Ben's Take
The Venus is Heybike's most bicycle-like bike — a light, low-step commuter on fast-rolling 27.5-inch wheels with dual torque-and-cadence sensors that make the power feel natural. Up to 85 miles of range and a genuinely liftable ~45 lb weight make it an easy daily driver. At $1,499 it's not cheap for a non-fat commuter, and Heybike is quiet on payload, but for pavement miles and easy mounting it looks like the pick. Camera review to come.
