Ben's Take

The step-through Level 4 ADV takes Aventon's clever mid-drive commuter and makes it easy to get on and off. You keep the 100Nm Ultro S motor, the 800Wh battery and up-to-110-mile range, the electronic Shimano CUES drivetrain with Autoshift, and the light 61 lb weight — but the dropped top tube suits riders about 4'11" to 6'1" and anyone who prefers a low stand-over. At $2,799 it's the same price as the standard frame, so it comes down to which stand-over you prefer. I haven't ridden it on camera yet — full review to come.
